Stichting Globe International Piano Foundation, known as the Globe International Piano Concours (GIPC), is responsible for the personal data described here. We are a small volunteer foundation and we deliberately collect as little as possible: this website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and tracks no visitors.
RSIN 869595611. You can reach us at globeipc@gmail.com.
When you use the contact form. We ask for your name, email address, telephone number and your message. The form sends these straight to our mailbox; the website stores nothing. We use them only to answer you, and we keep the correspondence for as long as it is useful, after which we delete it.
When you take part in the competition. Entrants supply the details on the entry form, together with a video. If you are selected, your name, age category, photograph, results and recordings of your performances are published on this website and on our YouTube channel, because a public competition is what you are entering. Entrants under sixteen participate with a parent's or guardian's consent, and we remove a recording on request wherever we reasonably can.
When you vote for the audience prize. Voting uses a one-time code handed out at the venue. Alongside your vote we log the time, the code and technical details of the request, including your IP address and browser information. We do this only to keep the vote fair, and we delete the log once the result is final.
When you donate. Payments run through Stripe Payments Europe. Stripe handles the payment itself and your card or bank credentials never reach us or this website. We receive a record of the donation: the amount, the date, and the name and email address you gave. We keep it because our accounts and the tax rules require it. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy.
When you sign a periodic gift agreement. A five-year gift is recorded on the Belastingdienst's standard form. We keep our signed copy, with the details it asks for, for as long as the tax rules oblige us to.
When we keep you informed. If you have given us your email address so that we can send you news about the competition, concerts or the summer school, we use it for that and nothing else. Every mailing lets you unsubscribe, and one email to us has the same effect.
This website places no cookies on your device. We use no analytics, no advertising pixels and no social media trackers, which is why you will not find a cookie banner here.
A few technical services see your IP address simply because your browser contacts them while a page loads:
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
You may ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to our use of it, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Write to globeipc@gmail.com and we will respond within a month. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you are entitled to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
If our practice changes, we will update this page and the date below.
